What is FlatClad?
FlatClad provides precision-engineered spacers that create a flush mounting surface for electrical accessories on profiled cladding. Our spacers fill the gap between grooved panels, V-groove, battens, shiplap, and acoustic panels so power points, switches, and other devices sit flat and stable.
Are FlatClad spacers electrical equipment?
No. FlatClad spacers are mechanical levelling components only. They do not provide any electrical function, IP rating, BAL/fire rating, or weather seal. All electrical safety and compliance remains the responsibility of the licensed installer.
Who should install the spacers?
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician as part of a compliant electrical installation. The spacer must be mechanically fixed through to a suitable substrate—do not rely on cladding alone for retention.
What are Universal Mounting Blocks?
Universal blocks are a separate product range for mounting CCTV cameras, outdoor lights, doorbells, and similar fixtures on profiled cladding. They come in Round, Square, and Rectangle shapes with integrated 20mm/25mm conduit knockouts, matched to your cladding profile.
What if my cladding profile is not listed?
Contact us with your cladding details (brand, product name, profile measurements or a photo). We can generate custom spacer geometry for unlisted profiles, subject to minimum order requirements.
